That's her

Image
Find a guy who calls you  beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep...wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you're just as pretty witjout makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have you...The one who turns to his friends and says, ' that's her".

A Billion Dreams

Image
you know how the night sky holds billions of stars burning and shining whenever it's dark? well, what if I told you it's not as it seems? that they're actually billions and billions of dreams and each, every night when you climb into bed the dreams that you have all float out of your head up past the trees and then up through the clouds up to the night without making a sound they meet with the moon and get ready to shine finding their place in the indigo sky and that's where they watch from that's where they wait until it's their moment their time and their place some stars are tiny and some stars are huge see, if the star's big then the dream must be too the irony though is that when we are small our dreams are the greatest and wildest of all then as we get bigger our dreams start to shrink our stars begin fading as we overthink...

Your Breath

Image
You made me feel human again. Your touch, your laughter, your breath, everything showed me what it is like to be a person: a living. breathing person. You came into my life at a time when I thought everything was against me, everything would kill me. You showed me everything I had  to live and fight for. In that short period I called you mine. You made me feel like there were galaxies in my veins and like the stars made their home in my eyes. I'll forever be grateful to the universe for bringing you to me. and at the same time I'll never  forgive it for taking you away.

THE THREE VOICES

Image
The waves have a story to tell me, Ad I lie on the lonely beach; Chanting aloft in the pine-tops, The wind has a lesson to teach; But the stars sing an anthem of glory I cannot put into speech. The waves tell of ocean spaces, Of hearts that are wild and brave,  Of populous city places, Of desolate shores they lave, Of men who sally in quest of gold To sink in an ocean grave. The wind is a mighty roamer; He bids me keep me free, Clean from the taint of the gold-lust, Hardy and pure as he; Cling with my love to nature, As a child to the mother-knee. But the stars throng out in their glory, And they sing of the God in man; They sing of the Mighty Master, Of the loom his fingers span, Where a star or a soul is part of the whole, And weft in the wondrous plan. Here by the camp-fire's flicker, Deep in my blanket curled, I long for the peace of the pine-gloom...

The Beautiful Moon

Image
How beautiful is the moon, glowing brightly in the night skies. Hiding herself during noon, So you'll never know if she cries.     Alone she sits in the sky,     guiding those who need her light     Warming the hearts of those who cry,     But always keeping herself locked up tight. Though surrounded by many stars, In solitude she would rather be. A consequence produced by scars, Shh...can you here her silent plea?      Away from people, away from pain,      She hides herself, in plain sight.      I've told you once and I'll tell you again,      The story of a beautiful moon         whose light glows brightest of night.

THE GIRL WHO WAS AFRAID TO BE

She speaks to me fondly of passions and talents,      guitars and stars,      then stops short  and apologies for speaking at all. All because somewhere in her life, someone she loved broke her heart by ignoring her beautiful words      and telling her to         shut up,        keep it down,       nobody cares.    People aren't born sad.    We make them that way.

Let's run away together

Image
Let's run away together, away from city lights, Where no-one knows our names yet, And we can see the stars at night, We'll camp out on the open, Warming cold skin by the fire, Tell each other hopes and dreams, And all of our desires, We'll own nothing more than we need, Watch sunrise colour the sky, Learn what we're really here for, Away from society's eyes, This journey will be scary, But we'll leave without a plan, And I know it will be alright, As long as you're holding my hand.

Love Letters

Image
I'd write love letters to the earth, whisper them to the wind, Fold them into paper boats, And find a stream to sail them in, I'd write of beautiful sunrises, of the oranges and pinks, While I sit beside the seashore, Where the waves can smudge my ink, I'd write these words on paper, But for paper I need trees, Like many things mankind has made, But doesn't really need, And so our letters to the earth, Leave less love than they do scars, When we write them in our blinding light, That block out all the stars,

The Light of Stars

Image
The night is come, but not too soon; And sinking silently, All silently, the little moon Drops down behind the sky. There is no light in earth or heaven But the cold light of stars; And the first watch of night is given To the red planet Mars. Is it the tender star of love? The star of love and dreams? Oh no! from that blue tent above A hero's armor gleams. And earnest thoughts within me rise, When I behold afar, Suspended in the evening skies, The shield of that red star. O star of strength ! I see thee stand And smile upon my pain; Thou beckonest with thy mailed hand, And I am strong again. Within my chest there is no light But the cold light of stars; I give the first watch of the night To the red planet mars. The star of unconquered will, He rises in my chest. Serene, and resolute , and still, And calm, and self possessed. And thou , too, whosoe'er thou art, That readest this bri...

Stars

Image
You think you can define me, That I'm a tick in just one box, Like my being is a door, That a single key unlocks, But let me tell you something, I have the universe inside, I hold an untamed ocean, With a constant changing tide, I'm home to endless mountains, With tips that touch the sky, Flocks of grand migrating birds, And deserts harsh and dry  I house the wildest rivers, And a host of weeping plains, I feel in waves of sunshine, Or in unrelenting rains, Don't tell me that you know me, That " this right here is what you are", I am the universe in motion, For I was born from stars.
