Dream Life

  May you have the love only two can know May you go where only two as one may go May the sun rise and set in your bonded hearts and the moon never find you too long apart May you cherish each other's dreams as your own and turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones May you brave life's mountains and miles together May there be no storm your love cannot weather May you always be lovers and allies and friends May your soul's conversation never end May you capture on earth what's in heaven above May your hearts know the rapture of an uncommon love.

                                            Mountains can't rise without earthquakes and rainbows can't form without rain a match can't ignite 'til you strike it cause its friction produces the flame diamonds are formed under pressure stars shine brighter when they explode and volcanoes can't rise from the ashes until cracks are beginning to show so I know that you feel like you're breaking that the rain never seems to subside that your world has been thoroughly shaken and you're not sure how you will survive but when all that pressure is building and you find yourself struggling to breathe just trust that you're going to get through this cause you are a diamond you see

                             I'll write for you a poem that you can read from time to time. A tale of how we could be, in a world where you are mine. We'd travel near and far, just us, walking city blocks together. Our feet could take us anywhere and our hands would still be tethered. The starlight could be blinding as the sunshine fades away. Just tell me what to write and I'll create anything you say. I could write us into forever if you let my mind run wild I'd write us onto the tops of mountains where we'd play just like a child. I'd write us into all the wonders that I've ever dreamt of seeing, but the saddest part of writing is that I can't write you into being.

                                                       From the moment you were born You were told what to do Be anything you want As long as you're never you They've paved your path And gave you rules Keep on walking straight Because dreaming is for fools You were told of a forbidden land Where dreams go to die They said never to go there You shouldn't even try But those who go there Have seen things far and wide Walked away from their chosen path And became their own guide And if you ever dare Give one of them your time They'll tell you about the dangers And the mountains you will climb But after all the dangers And the hardships are gone You'll find the truth about the path And find that everyone else is wrong There really only is  One path for you  No one else has the same path And you're the only one who can choose
